Join the Southern Health-Santé Sud team at Portage Regional Health Centre in Portage la Prairie as a Clinical Resource Nurse. This position involves maintaining and improving the quality of people-centered care, teaching nursing staff, mentoring and coaching, developing best practices, and participating in research. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of nursing experience, with 3 years in a relevant clinical area. A Registered Nurse with current CRNM registration, BCLS certification, and additional certifications specific to the clinical area are required.

assisting with teaching nursing staff,

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern HealthSanté Sud.Experience

Minimum of 5 years overall nursing practice.
 Minimum of 3 years recent experience in a nursing position relative to the clinical area of specialty/site would be an asset.

Registered Nurse with current active registration with CRNM and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
 Current BCLS certification.
 Additional current certification specific to clinical area of responsibility such as TNCC; recognized ACLS course; recognized Fetal Health Surveillance course, NRP. The CRN is expected to maintain all applicable course certifications as current.
