IWK Health is seeking a Clinical Therapist to join the Family Intensive Outreach Services program in Halifax. The successful candidate will work with an interprofessional team to provide mental health and addiction treatment to children and youth up to 19 years of age. Responsibilities include individual and family therapy, group interventions, clinical supervision, and capacity-building initiatives.

Reporting to a Manager in the Mental Health and Addictions program, the Clinical Therapist will collaborate with various healthcare professionals to deliver culturally relevant and evidence-informed treatment. The position involves working in ambulatory clinics, outreach services, day treatment services, and community-based settings, in alignment with the mission of the IWK Health Centre.

Family Intensive Outreach Services (FIOS) is a community-based outreach program that focuses on providing intensive treatment to clients and caregivers experiencing disruptive behavior challenges. The Clinical Therapist will be responsible for delivering evidence-based assessments, case formulation, and family-based treatment within this program.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline, current professional registration or eligibility for registration, and a minimum of two years of experience in child and youth mental health. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and knowledge of the Choice and Partnership approach (CAPA) are essential qualifications for this role.

The position offers full-time hours from Monday to Friday, with some evening work and flexibility required. Candidates with competencies in other languages are encouraged to apply.   • Cultural competence and understanding of social determinants of health
