Description:
This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.
Job Description:
Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assess patient health.
Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions and diseases.
Prescribe medications and therapies as necessary.
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
Provide preventive care and health education to patients.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
Refer patients to specialists or for further diagnostic testing when required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and techniques.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
Adhere to medical ethics, confidentiality, and legal guidelines.
Qualifications:
Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA.
Current eligibility letter from CPSA.
Proven experience as a general practitioner.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
