Description:

Home Care Assistance is currently seeking a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a casual position in the Port Severn area. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving clients to various appointments and errands. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with open availability being an asset.

• Pay starting at $19-$21 depending on experience

The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care
• Driving clients to outings, appointments, and errands
• Supporting clients with physiotherapy exercises
• Preparing meals and light housekeeping
• Providing medication support and management
• Offering cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Maintaining open communication with clients and their families
• Monitoring care plans and documenting any changes
• Responding to emergency situations
• Performing all other assigned duties

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW certification from a public college/learning center OR additional NACC certification
• Caregiver, HSW, or PSW experience is required
• Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
