Description:

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a reliable individual to join their team for the position of Freight Handler. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading/unloading trailers, distributing freight, documenting overages and shortages, and maintaining a clean yard and warehouse. Heavy lifting is required, and the ability to follow health and safety protocols is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading/Unloading inbound and outbound trailers
  • Distributing freight to P&D Drivers
  • Documenting overages, shortages, and damages
  • Reweighing and cubing freight
  • Keeping the yard and warehouse clean
  • Safe, Claims free Movement and sorting of freight
  • Shift Times: Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Starting wage $23.98/hr with increases after 3 months and 12 months

    • Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must work well with others and take direction
  • Must be able to think on your feet in a high pace environment
  • Must have forklift experience
  • Able to solve problems when they arrive
