This job posting is for a full-time, permanent position in the Engineering & Technical category within the Engineering & Construction Services division at 18 Dyas Road. The hourly rate ranges from $44.64 to $48.88, with a Monday to Friday schedule of 40 hours per week.
Major Responsibilities:
Perform duties independently and as a Crew Lead in geodetic surveys
Direct, instruct, and train staff in geodetic surveying
Conduct surveys using various equipment
Ensure projects meet City standards
Maintain geodetic control databases
Coordinate field crew activities
Operate and maintain survey equipment
Liaise with public, surveyors, and contractors
Key Qualifications:
Graduate in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering Technology
Considerable field experience in geodetic surveys
Experience with survey equipment and software
Must possess a valid Driver's License
You must also have:
Advanced knowledge of geodetic surveying
Ability to operate survey equipment
Experience with spatial data processing tools
Ability to read technical drawings
Good communication skills
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
Physically able to operate tools and work in various conditions
Demonstrated record of regular attendance
Ability to perform shift work
