Quinte Health is seeking individuals with a Grade 12 education or equivalent experience for a position that requires a valid Food Handlers Certificate and a good understanding of Food and Nutrition. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, work independently, and operate various office equipment. The role involves following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and completing documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide food service functions including food preparation, restocking supplies, and cleaning dining areas.
Assemble patient trays according to established policies and procedures.
Complete all housekeeping tasks and work in accordance with safe food handling guidelines.
Work with inter-professionals, delivery personnel, and office staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands Analysis:
Strength:
Occasionally lift and carry average weight of 20 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds.
Push/pull average weight of 10-15 pounds and a maximum of 30 pounds.
Mobility:
Constantly stand.
Frequently walk, bend/stoop.
Occasionally sit, twist/turn, bend, crouch/squat, kneel.
Rarely balance, climb.
Dexterity:
Frequently perform forward shoulder movements, gripping/grasping, and normal range of motion for various body parts.
Occasionally perform fine finger movements and shoulder movements (up/down).
