Utilizing evidence-based practice, the General Duty Staff Nurse at BC Cancer is responsible for providing holistic nursing care to oncology patients. This includes assessment, intervention, symptom management, treatment coordination, teaching, counseling, support, and follow-up. The nurse will work closely with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify treatment plans as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to Oncology patients
Collaborate with patients, family, and multidisciplinary team members
Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids
Maintain patient records and follow BC Cancer policies
Assist patients in interpreting their care plans
Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN
Current CPR (Level C) certification
One (1) year of recent related experience or equivalent

Communicate effectively with patients and staff
