This job posting is for a position at Shared Health in Winnipeg at the Health Sciences Centre Children's Hospital in the Radiology Child Health Department. The position is for a Medical Imaging Technologist to perform radiological procedures under the direction of the Section Head and Diagnostic Imaging Manager. The job involves working with pediatric patients and requires specific qualifications and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine/non-routine radiological procedures
  • Assisting senior technologists in various areas such as on-call and CT
  • Experience:

  • Previous pediatric experience preferred
  • Familiarity with PACS and RIS preferred
  • Education:

  • Graduation from a recognized school of Medical Imaging Technology
  • Certification/Licensure/Registration:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program
  • Eligible for registration with CAMRT within three months of hire
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preference for Indigenous language competency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of pediatric patient care and emotional needs
  • Compassionate and able to calm anxious patients
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift and position patients
  • Exposure to radiation and other medical elements
  • This position is a term position due to maternity leave and may end earlier as per the collective agreement.
