As a Health Care Aide (HCA) at Assisted Living Alberta in Onoway Community Health, you will be an integral part of the team providing personal assistance to patients in need of short-term or ongoing support. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, supporting patient care plans, and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to provide personal assistance to patients
Assist nurses in providing routine care to meet patients' hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
Observe and report on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing
Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and health professionals
Ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Qualifications:
Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
Confirmation letter of enrolment from the Directory
Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program
Experience in rural communities is an asset
Must be able to drive in all weather/road conditions
