Key Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide personal assistance and support services to patients in accordance with care plans and facility policies
Assist patients with activities of daily living, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
Support nurses in delivering routine care and observing/reporting on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing
Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors under the supervision of a regulated health professional
Communicate effectively with patients and health professionals
Required Qualifications:
Completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
Confirmation letter of enrollment from the Directory
Nursing students enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program with a minimum of 100 practicum hours
Compliance with qualification requirements and proof of qualification
