Description:

As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will work as a collaborative member of the multidisciplinary team, providing personal assistance by supporting activities of daily living and delivering support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers across the continuum of care in home, community, and health care facilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting nurses with routine care, organizing activities, observing and reporting on patients' well-being, and maintaining a safe environment for all.

Under the supervision of a regulated health professional, you will support effective communication with patients and health care professionals. Until you provide proof of HCA certification, you will be paid at the uncertified pay grade. This position is with Assisted Living Alberta in the Long Term Care unit at Cardston Health Centre. The hours per shift vary, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
