We are seeking a dedicated and outgoing individual to join our team as a Health Care Aide at Vermilion Long Term Care, a cottage-style facility offering 48 private beds. Built in 2007, our facility was designed around the well-being of our residents in mind, featuring rooms equipped with a full lift track system, private bathrooms and showers, as well as spacious living areas to ensure both privacy and comfort. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our residents. We are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is able to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and compassion. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, personable individual who enjoys engaging with others and can adapt to the varying needs of our residents. In this role, you will be expected to be able to work independently and as a team, while maintaining the highest standards of care. Your ability to stay organized and manage competing priorities will be essential as you assist with daily activities, personal care, and support for residents. You will collaborate closely with the on-site Registered Nurse, who is available 24/7 to offer guidance and support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal assistance by supporting activities of daily living and delivering support services to patients
  • Assist with organized activities or programs and observe and report on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Active or eligible for registration or practice permit with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA) as a Health Care Aide
  • Proof of education or completion of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire
  • Experience working in a Long-Term Care setting
  • Strong English Speaking and Documentation Skills
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere and be able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands
