As a member of the care team, the Health Care Aide will provide support to residents, their families, and visitors in a home-like environment that promotes independence, choice, dignity, and individuality. Responsibilities include assisting residents with personal care, social support, and participation in recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide resident care that respects individual choice, dignity, and culture

Maintain close working relationships with the interdisciplinary team

Promote teamwork and cooperation within the care team

Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 education

Completed Health Care Aide Certificate

Enrollment in the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory

Dementia education preferred

6 months to 1 year of experience in Assisted Living/Continuing Care

Fluency in English, French language skills an asset

Computer skills preferred

Vaccination against required communicable diseases
