This job posting is for a Health Care Aide position at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg. The Health Care Aide will work under the supervision of the Manager, Health Services and the Registered Nurse to provide patient care and supportive services. The successful candidate will need to have experience in rehabilitative, long-term care, or chronic care, as well as a Health Care Aide Certificate.

1 year previous experience in providing rehabilitative, long-term care or chronic care to patients/residents is preferred.

Grade X education required.

Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized institution required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Knowledge of basic nursing care principles, techniques, and procedures.

Skill in providing specialized and/or long-term nursing care to patients/residents.

Basic computer and keyboarding skills.

Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients/residents, family members, and coworkers.
