Join Beacon Community Services as a Health Care Assistant (HCA) at Parry Place! We are excited to be expanding our Assisted Living services under BC's new model of care and are hiring multiple candidates for multiple positions. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly formed team and contribute to building a supportive, person-centred care environment from the ground up. In this role, you'll provide daily living support, encouragement, and companionship to seniors in a respectful, home-like setting, helping residents live with dignity, independence, and comfort while making a positive difference every day.

There are 6 Health Care Assistant Lines available. All lines are 4 days on, 4 days off, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts for vacation and sick coverage.

Days/Hours of Work:

• 2 lines - 4 days on 4 days off: 7:00 am to 3:00pm
• 2 lines- 4 days on 4 days off: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
• 2 lines- 4 days on 4 days off: 11:00pm to 7:00 am -- Awake overnight - night premium

Closing Date: Applications will be accepted until February 4 at noon. In person interviews will take place February 9 to 11. The anticipated start date is March 2, 2026.

What You'll Do

• Help residents with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and use of lifts/assistive devices.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and comfort routines.
• Support resident laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and returning personal items as needed.
• Facilitate recreational and social activities.
• Provide medication reminders and support self-administration.
• Observe and report changes in resident health or behavior.
• Keep rooms and equipment clean and safe.
• Participate in team meetings and respond to emergencies.
• Other duties as required

What You Bring

• Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program.
• Registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
• First Aid & CPR Level C, FoodSafe Level 1
• Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home support
