Key Responsibilities:
Provides personal care to patients including toileting, bathing, grooming, and mobilization.
Observes and reports patient progress and any changes to the nurse.
Assists with meal preparation and feeding designated patients.
Records vital signs and obtains specimens as directed by the nurse.
Documents patient observations and activities in accordance with procedures.
Transports patients using mechanical aids and assists with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Performs general duties such as answering phones, ordering supplies, and maintaining patient care areas.
Attends meetings and training sessions as assigned.
Qualifications:
Grade 10 education and completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program or equivalent experience.
Current Food Safe Level One certification.
