Key Responsibilities:
Participates in continuous quality improvement standards.
Collaborates with the care team to provide feedback on care plans for residents.
Provides care to residents according to their care plan, promoting comfort and well-being.
Supports residents' daily living activities while respecting their rights and choices.
Observes and reports changes in residents' condition, monitoring vital signs and maintaining health records.
Assists in monitoring interventions and offers suggestions for improvement.
Provides ongoing support to co-workers and acts as an advocate for residents and families.
Maintains residents' living space, serves meals, and assists with housekeeping duties.
Administers medication and treatments in accordance with standards of care.
Maintains effective communication with residents, families, physicians, and other departments.
Complies with all corporate policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum grade 12 education required.
Certificate from an approved Health Care Aide program and current BC Care Aide registration.
Certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR.
Previous experience working with seniors considered an asset.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
