Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Health Promoter to work at Yarmouth Regional Hospital in the Western Zone. The Health Promoter will collaborate with the team and partners to address local population health needs and improve health outcomes. This role requires a Bachelor of Health Promotion or equivalent degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience determined by the employer.

The successful candidate will have experience in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion programs, policies, services, and initiatives. They should also have proficiency in the Core Competencies for Public Health and LEADS, as well as an understanding of a population-based approach to health promotion.

Other qualifications include the ability to build strategic partnerships, networks, coalitions, and collaborative working relationships, as well as demonstrated team-building skills. The Health Promoter should have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, as travel will be required.

This is a permanent full-time position with 70 hours biweekly. The compensation ranges from $35.79 to $44.98 hourly, and successful candidates may be eligible for benefits such as health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
