Horizon Health Network is seeking a Senior Medical Executive Director, Medical Affairs to lead medical governance, clinical leadership, and physician engagement in Atlantic Canada. Reporting to the VP of Medical, Academic, and Research Affairs, this role involves advancing strategic priorities, enhancing medical leadership, and ensuring clinical quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
System-wide clinical leadership for quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Champion integration across programs and clinical departments.
Provide strategic advice to the VP of Medical, Academic, and Research Affairs.
Identify opportunities for innovation and care model evolution.
Support medical governance and physician wellness strategies.
Collaborate with medical staff, leadership teams, and external partners.
Lead the development of clinical standards and pathways.
Manage physician accountability frameworks and disciplinary matters.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based practice.
