We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional to join the South Zone clinical operations team as a casual Seniors Health Clinical Nurse Educator. In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of education for clinical teams, including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. Working closely with the Continuing Care Leadership team, you will support health care providers serving clients in various Continuing Care programs.
As an Instructor, you will be a key educator for nursing staff and the clinical team, promoting standards of clinical and evidence-informed practice. You will play a vital role in delivering safe, quality patient care while upholding the values of AHS.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of education for nursing staff
Collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical practice
Provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program
Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Equivalent Health Related Degree
Experience with educational content development and delivery
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
High level understanding of CCHSS
Excellent public speaking skills
Experience with change management protocols
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team
Valid Driver's License and access to a vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using web-based technology for education
Minimum of 3-5 years clinical practice in Seniors Health
Additional education and clinical preparation in Seniors Health areas
