The Instructor-Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for facilitating education for staff in Continuing Care, promoting clinical competence and the best possible client care. This position involves working with an interdisciplinary team, supporting new staff, encouraging best practices, and providing leadership in nursing best practice.

As an Instructor, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating education for nursing staff. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-informed practice. This role requires a commitment to providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care.

The position is classified as Instructor EDM under the United Nurses of Alberta union, with the primary location at Bonaventure Gates. The temporary full-time benefits position is available from February 19, 2026, to September 27, 2027, with a minimum salary of $47.34 and a maximum salary of $64.79. A driver's license and vehicle are required.

Required Qualifications:

- Completion of an accredited nursing education program

- Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta

- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

- Baccalaureate degree in nursing

- Minimum of 5 years of recent Home Living experience

- Current working knowledge of Connect Care

- Experience with education material development and evaluation

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills

- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities

- Ability to work independently and in different environments

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer programs

- Physically capable of performing nursing tasks and lifting weight

Preferred Qualifications:

- Post-graduate studies or certification in adult education, gerontology, chronic disease management, or palliative care

- Experience in a clinical educator role, preferably within the Continuing Care portfolio

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support  Health Care Provider (BCLSHCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree in nursing. Minimum of 5 years of recent Home Living experience. Current working knowledge of Connect Care. Experience with development, implementation, facilitation and evaluation of education materials and programming is required, within the Home Living portfolio. Proven exemplary communication, interpersonal and organization skills are essential. Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities, along with the ability to work effectively in a selfdirected environment are vital. The CNE will be based out of one network office with travel between sites required. At the time of interview, you will be required to demonstrate your computer knowledge and proficiency by completing a skills test. Must have working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Visio, Outlook and Internet. Physically capable of performing nursing tasks which could include transfer of clients. The successful candidate will work independently in clients' homes, which could include congregate settings, single family dwellings, condos and/or walkup apartments. Therefore, the successful candidate must be able to work in different settings and environments (home environments and weather conditions), as well as be able to lift and carry medical bags, which weigh approximately 2530 lbs. Preferred Qualifications:Post graduate studies or certification in adult education, gerontology, chronic disease management and/or palliative care would be an asset.
