Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) Emergency Department is seeking a clinical nursing leader to provide front line leadership, mentorship, and education to emergency staff of all practice levels. The role involves planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating education for staff with a focus on real-time support in the clinical setting. As an Instructor - Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), you will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-based practice while providing safe, quality, trauma-informed care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Take a leadership role in education planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation for nursing staff.
Collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-informed practice.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Active or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
N95 fit testing and AHS required organizational learning modules.
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in a tertiary trauma center Emergency department.
Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills.
Effective change management knowledge and experience.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Proven record of willingness to embrace change and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications:
ED CNE experience.
Emergency specialty certification (ENC(C)).
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and change management.
ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NVCI, and Triage certification.
Preference given to individuals with current instructor level CPR, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, NVCI, Triage, NRP.
