Description:

The anatomy laboratory at the Outaouais Campus is seeking a lab helper (casual) to assist with the preparation and maintenance of prosections.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the maintenance, production, and organization of the anatomy lab's prosection collection (predissected specimens and bone specimens).
  • Assist the lab technician with cleaning and maintaining the prosection and storage areas in the anatomy lab.
  • Participate in the organization, storage, and labeling of wet specimens (prosections) and dry specimens (bones, models, etc.).
  • Assist with entering specimen data into the online inventory database system.
  • Assist the anatomist in performing prosections.
  • Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:

  • Applicants must feel comfortable handling, moving, and lifting human cadaveric specimens.
  • Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.

    Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 Year Related Experience
  • Hourly Salary: (AMUSE B) $21.00

    Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 3 (Part time)

    Position End Date: 2027-02-22
