Description:

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, this position involves preparing bulk solutions for Scientists, assembling kits, assisting with Lab Assistant duties, and conducting simple analytical testing. The role requires working in a laboratory setting with some environmental conditions such as loud noises, strong odors, and hazardous/toxic materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documenting experimental data in accordance with ALCOA standards
  • Working proficiently with eDMS and MS Word & Excel software
  • Preparing bulk solutions and raw data packages
  • Providing support to Scientists with dissolution testing and sample preparation
  • Performing simple in-process testing
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and reporting potential hazards
  • Performing alternating or rotating shift work as required
  • Required Qualifications:

  • College Technician Diploma in Laboratory Technology or Related Field
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related science (an asset)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP Laboratory Environment preferred

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and manipulate light to medium weights
  • Arm, hand, and finger dexterity required
  • Visual acuity and ability to sit, reach, talk, and hear for prolonged periods
  • Use of Personal Protective equipment may be required
  • Compensation:
    The estimated annualized pay range for this position in Ontario is $41,200.00--$61,750.00.
