The role involves specimen collection, greeting patients, and preparing specimens for transportation. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:45am - 5:30pm and Saturday, 8:00am - 1:30pm

Additional Requirements: The role is based at 1 Promenade Circle PSC and requires a vehicle for travel to various locations. The schedule includes weekdays from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Your responsibilities will include:

Greet and request required information from patients, explain the specimen collection process, and ensure patients have followed necessary test protocol prior to specimen collection.

Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and perform ECG tracings.

Perform special test collections and complete related documentation.

Maintain client relationships and complete data entry of required patient demographics.

Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.

What you will bring to the role:

Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent are preferred.

Phlebotomy experience is an asset.

ECG training or experience is an asset.

Excellent communication skills.

Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.

Strong customer/patient service with the ability to relate to patients and clients.

Strong empathy, flexibility, adaptability to change, and problem solving skills.

Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
