Description:

The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of New Brunswick is seeking a Lab & Research Coordinator for the Community Transportation Research Lab (CTRL). This position involves managing projects, coordinating research activities, and supporting the lab's administration. The successful candidate will work closely with academic staff, students, and community partners to advance transportation research in small cities and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects funded through the Lab, including documentation and resource coordination.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Lab by identifying research projects for students.
  • Coordinate research funding applications and collaboration opportunities.
  • Plan and develop the Lab's physical space and equipment requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation for publication and support data collection and analysis.
  • Coordinate public engagement events and promote the Lab through various channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
  • 1 - 5 years of professional work experience in transportation engineering or related field.
  • Additional Strengths:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science with a focus on transportation or project management.
  • Ability to work in both English and French.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Registration in New Brunswick as an Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and training in Project Management.
