Description: Shannex is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Key Responsibilities:
Total nursing care in accordance with resident-directed approach
Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident needs
Competence in various care areas including palliative care and medication administration
Providing leadership to health services staff
Maintaining knowledge of legislation and program requirements
Assisting with hygiene, daily living activities, and care plans
Administering prescribed medications and maintaining accurate documentation
Acting as a work area leader or mentor
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Graduate from an approved Practical Nursing Program
Current registration with provincial regulatory body
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
Valid CPR & First Aid Certification
Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Previous experience in long-term care or senior living an asset
Passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring quality care for seniors
