As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist I, you will produce high quality diagnostic MRI images, prepare patients for examination, and maintain MRI equipment. This role involves working in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment at various hospital locations, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts. Responsibilities include ensuring patient and staff safety, operating MRI equipment, collaborating with healthcare providers, and adhering to regulations. You will also participate in education, quality improvement, and facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce and record MRI images for interpretation by Radiologists or Cardiologists
Prepare and position patients for examinations
Maintain accuracy and completeness of patient records
Collaborate with healthcare providers and follow regulations
Participate in education, quality improvement, and facility upkeep
Required Qualifications:
Completion of accredited MRI Program or certificate in MRI Technologist program
Registration with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent experience in acute care Adult and Pediatric Centre
Registration with Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists
Demonstrated maintenance with AHS Required Organizational Learning and ACMDTT Continuing Competence Program
Interest in personal, department, and technological growth
Preferred Qualifications:
One year recent experience in acute care Adult and Pediatric Centre
Proficient in Radiant workflows and practice with site protocols and MRI equipment
Enhanced practice authorization for Medication Administration
