The Maintenance Worker role involves maintaining the hotel's appearance, safety, and functionality under the guidance of the Chief Engineer. The pay rate is $22 per hour for a Full-Time contract.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular checks of public areas and guest spaces.

Complete guest room maintenance tasks.

Support grounds and exterior maintenance.

Monitor pool, spa, and building systems.

Handle material handling and shop organization.

Adhere to safety, standards, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications

Previous Building Maintenance experience.

Basic mechanical ability in plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Possession of an Alberta Driver's Licence with a clear abstract.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer, you will support daily maintenance operations across guest rooms, public areas, backofhouse spaces, and grounds.Pay Rate: $22 per hour   
Contract Type: FullTimeKey Responsibilities Public Areas &amp; Guest Spaces

Conduct regular checks of public areas including hallways, lobby, restaurants, and washrooms.
 Inspect lighting, exit signage, doors, walls, ceilings, and flooring for condition and operability.
 Perform repairs such as light bulb replacement, painting, door adjustments, and minor surface repairs.
 Interact professionally and courteously with guests while working in public and guestfacing areas.

Guest Room Maintenance

Complete guest room maintenance tasks including: plumbing and drain operability, furniture adjustments and minor repairs, paint touchups, grout and sealant replacement, minor drywall repairs and wall painting, clear drains, tighten loose fixtures or appliances, and ensure rooms meet established quality standards.

Grounds &amp; Exterior MaintenanceSupport seasonal grounds maintenance including: snow removal using shovels, snow blowers, and plow trucks, grass cutting, weed removal, planting, watering, and trimming, hanging and maintaining plants and floral displaysMaintain exterior spaces to reflect Rimrock's luxury and safety standards yearround.Pool, Spa &amp; Building Systems Support

Monitor swimming pools and other bodies of water, including daily testing and chemical balancing.
 Support pool, sauna, and related equipment maintenance.
 Assist with basic heating and cooling checks and troubleshooting.
 Report irregularities or concerns to Engineering leadership promptly.

Material Handling &amp; Shop Organization

Move and relocate furniture, appliances, and equipment as required.
 Install pictures, fixtures, and furnishings.
 Remove garbage, recycling, and construction debris safely.
 Maintain organization and cleanliness of the maintenance shop and workspaces.

Safety, Standards &amp; Compliance

Follow all health, safety, and PPE requirements.
 Work within established procedures, standards, and regulations.
 Handle chemicals and controlled substances safely and responsibly.
 Support a safetyfirst culture through attention to detail and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications What You Bring

Previous experience in Building Maintenance
 Basic mechanical ability, including knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance
 Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
 Comfort working within structured systems, standards, and procedures.
 Alberta Driver's Licence and clear abstract

Plumbing or electrical training.
 Previous hotel, resort, or facilities maintenance experience.
 Pool Operator certification
