Ross Memorial Hospital is seeking a Manager for the Medical Unit in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada. The hospital provides acute and continuing care services to approximately 45,000 patients annually. The Medical Inpatient Unit consists of 40 beds, including telemetry beds, and cares for patients with various medical conditions such as heart attacks, diabetes, and pneumonia.

The Manager will report to the Director of Medicine, Dialysis, and Post Acute and will be responsible for promoting exceptional patient care within the unit. They will manage human and fiscal resources, foster a cohesive team environment, and serve as an ambassador for the team. The Manager will also work collaboratively with community providers to promote positive public relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Active Registration with a professional college and a BScN or associated degree

Minimum five years of nursing experience in an acute care setting with recent supervisory experience

Demonstrated understanding of hospital management policies and procedures

Ability to manage departmental budgets and provide corrections to variances

Experience in human resource management and leadership

Effective communication and conflict resolution skills

Commitment to inter-professional practice and lifelong learning

Compliance with regulatory and professional standards of care

Physical ability to fulfill job requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Health Administration

Member of Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
