Are you a physician interested in playing a leadership role in preventing workplace injury and disease in British Columbia? WorkSafeBC is seeking a Medical Advisor to join their team in the Medical Services department. This role involves partnering with various professionals to assist injured workers in their recovery, rehabilitation, and safe return to work. The Medical Advisor will provide medico-legal opinions and recommendations on workers' medical conditions, causes, and treatments, using academic and clinical knowledge to support injured workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate medical impairments and disabilities and provide opinions on cause, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis

Offer evidence-based medical recommendations to adjudicating officers

Collaborate with community physicians to ensure workers' rehabilitation needs are met

Work in a team environment to provide opinions and recommendations

Qualifications:

Eligible for full licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia

Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience

Interest in rehabilitation, mental health, or occupational medicine

Strong communication skills
