Are you a physician interested in playing a leadership role in preventing workplace injury and disease in British Columbia? WorkSafeBC is seeking a Medical Advisor to join their team in the Medical Services department. In this role, you will collaborate with various professionals to assist injured workers in their recovery, rehabilitation, and safe return to work. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing medico-legal opinions and recommendations regarding workers' medical conditions, causes, and treatments.

As a Medical Advisor, you will evaluate medical impairments, provide evidence-based medical recommendations, collaborate with community physicians, and work in a team environment to support injured workers. The position offers a flexible work model, allowing for a hybrid of remote and office-based work.

  • Qualifications:

  • Eligible for full licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
  • Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience
  • Interest in rehabilitation, mental health, or occupational medicine
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Before employment, candidates must meet legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act and confirm eligibility to work in Canada. WorkSafeBC's COVID-19 Employee Mandatory Vaccine Policy is currently suspended, but may be reinstated based on public health orders.
