Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join the team at Valley Regional Hospital in the Western Zone. This temporary full-time position involves decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of medical supplies and devices, as well as record-keeping duties.

If you have completed an approved Medical Device Reprocessing Technician Program and have formal education in anatomy, medical terminology, and microbiology, this role may be a great fit for you. Previous experience in an MDR setting and knowledge of infection control measures are preferred.

This position requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and manual dexterity. Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and be comfortable working with chemicals, blood, and body fluids. French language skills are an asset.

The successful candidate will work full-time for approximately one year, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Compensation ranges from $21.68 to $27.92 per hour, with benefits such as health and dental coverage, long-term disability, and a pension plan available.
