Description:

The Medical Director position involves serving as the project physician and providing medical and scientific expertise to project teams, with a primary focus on ensuring data accuracy and patient safety. This role also includes participating in strategic planning and critical development programs for clients in oncology or autoimmune disease, contributing to the development of the Medical team, and supporting Business Development activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior leaders in Medical, Operational Strategy, and Business Development.
  • Support Business Development and Proposals teams by participating in the RFP process and preparing medical considerations for proposals.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on regulatory product landscape and strategies.
  • Provide scientific insight for company releases and review and revise various documents related to clinical trials.
  • Serve as a medical resource for study sites, project teams, and clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of Medical Monitoring Plan and materials for investigator meetings.
  • Develop training modules and provide training on disease states.
  • Participate in process improvement activities and collaborate with global Medical team members.
  • Minimum Education & Experience:

  • MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent medical qualifications.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience with completed residency and fellowship programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in oncology or autoimmune disease clinical research.
  • Expertise in oncology or autoimmune disease drug development and ability to analyze clinical trial protocols strategically.
  • Availability for domestic and international travel.
  • Preferred Education & Experience (optional):

  • Drug development experience in oncology or autoimmune diseases.
  • Board Certification in Oncology and/or Hematology or relevant medical subspecialty.
  • Phase I and Phase II clinical trial experience in oncology or autoimmune disease.
  • Prior CRO experience and current scientific knowledge.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to deliver on commitments and build strategic drug development solutions.
  • Professionalism, effective communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong visual and presentation skills, ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Efficiency in working remotely.
