The Medical Affairs Director is responsible for leading medical affairs activities in a key market, managing research and educational medical objectives, and supporting commercial business and reimbursement goals for diagnostic assays in oncology.

Key responsibilities include providing medical information and education through scientific exchange with Medical Oncologists, Surgeons, and Pathology Key Opinion Leaders, supporting product growth through medical education, and engaging with healthcare professionals. Additional responsibilities include supporting R&D initiatives and investigator-initiated studies in the development and commercialization of diagnostic solutions.

This position requires professionals with established personal and scientific credibility to interact with thought leaders, government health authorities, and medical centers of excellence.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop a Medical Affairs Strategic Plan for the market, including plans for Key Opinion Leader engagement, educational initiatives, and reimbursement initiatives.
  • Support medical education, reimbursement needs, and physician customer support.
  • Identify and engage thought leaders in breast cancer within the market for scientific discussions.
  • Act as the primary contact for investigators interested in developing studies with the company's assays.
  • Assist/lead in R&D and investigator-initiated studies.
  • Lead national and regional Advisory Boards.
  • Execute international medical education and support marketing.
  • Provide clinical presentations and information in various settings.
  • Support local access and reimbursement with medical expertise.
  • Assure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide feedback and medical input to local commercial plans and strategies.

  • Travel Requirements:

    Ability to travel up to 30% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Medicine/Medical Doctor or PhD, PharmD.
  • 3+ years of therapeutic clinical experience desired.
  • 6 to 8 years of industry experience.
  • Expertise in Oncology, experience in breast/GI/lung cancer is a plus.
  • Extensive experience in managing KOLs.
  • Excellent French and English mandatory.
  • Proven record of working in a matrix environment and delivering as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience in Diagnostics or Biotech industry is a plus.
