Description:
The Ministry of Alberta Justice is seeking a Medical Examiner Investigator to join the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner team. The role involves conducting investigations into sudden and unexplained deaths to determine the cause and manner of death. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders in a challenging environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, be a strong team player, have exceptional problem-solving abilities, and be able to work in a high-impact environment with emotionally taxing situations.
Qualifications include a university degree or diploma in a related field, a valid Class 5 driver's license, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite. Assets include previous death investigation experience, investigative experience, and case management experience.
This position requires availability on a 24/7/365 basis through shift work and on-call duties. Final candidates will undergo a criminal records check, and travel is a requirement of the role.
