Job Description:

Position Summary: Join the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at UHN, a prominent academic medical imaging department in Canada. The role involves providing administrative support to health professionals and department leaders across multiple sites.

Duties:

Answering, screening, and triaging telephone calls

Receiving patients/visitors for tests, procedures, and appointments

Scheduling patients for tests and appointments

Providing clerical support services

Qualifications:

Completion of a post-secondary certificate in Office Administration or equivalent

Experience using computer applications or health information systems

Minimum 1 year of front-line customer service experience

General knowledge of office practices

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Experience in a healthcare environment an asset

Knowledge of a second language an asset

 Receiving patients/visitors coming in for tests, procedures, and appointments
 Scheduling patients for tests, special procedures, and urgent/emergency appointments
 Following established procedures to ensure the efficient flow of patients and patient appointments
 Providing routine clerical support services

Qualifications

At minimum, completion of a post secondary certificate up to 1 year in Office Administration or recognized equivalent
 6 months to 1 year experience using computer applications or health information system (i.e., EPIC MS Office)
 At minimum 1 year experience in frontline customer service
 General knowledge of office practices, process and procedures
 Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
 Knowledge of RIS, CD burning software, preferred
 Experience working in a health care environment, an asset
 Knowledge of a second language, an asset
