Description:

Intelerad is seeking a System Support Specialist to join their Healthcare IT team. This role involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for Radiology IT systems, including RIS, PACS, and VNA. The ideal candidate will work closely with radiologists, IT teams, and vendors to ensure optimal system performance, uptime, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Radiology IT systems, including RIS, PACS, and VNA
  • Work with radiologists, technologists, and IT staff to address system issues and optimize workflows
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing system downtime and impact on patient care
  • Support DICOM, HL7, and other healthcare interoperability standards
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and backup solutions
  • Handle sensitive patient data in compliance with privacy regulations
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments on complex issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation, providing support outside of normal business hours
  • Adhere to quality and regulatory compliance standards
  • Document troubleshooting activities and resolutions
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Handle incoming client calls and provide direct phone support
  • Work evening and weekend shifts as part of the regular schedule
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Healthcare IT / radiology systems support
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems and technical knowledge
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, networking, SQL Server, and more
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and HIPAA compliance
  • Desired Competencies

  • Industry certifications in relevant technical domains
  • Knowledge of medical informatics architecture
  • Experience with medical imaging workflows and standards
  • Certifications in system administration and scripting
  • Knowledge of cloud-based medical imaging solutions
  • Fluency in multiple languages, French is a strong asset
