LifeLabs is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join their team in Toronto, ON. This role is crucial in patient care and the business, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives. The position is temporary part-time, with a schedule that includes weekends and select weekdays, running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Carrying out a diverse range of work activities with accuracy and efficiency

Demonstrating knowledge of specimen handling requirements and prioritization

Performing manual and automated testing under supervision

Addressing Quality Assurance indicators and incidents

Conducting instrument/equipment maintenance and utilizing reagents and controls

Ensuring confidentiality of patient information and maintaining a safe work environment

What You Will Bring To The Role:

High School diploma

WHMIS training

Registered Laboratory Assistant (OSMT) optional

Previous laboratory experience preferred (Chemistry)

Your Responsibilities Will Include  Responsible for carrying out a diverse range of work activities; ensure all duties and responsibilities are prioritized and handled with accuracy and efficiency providing quality results  Demonstrate knowledge of specimen handling requirements and prioritization of specimens and results, following LifeLabs Procedures  Data entry of specimens, while triaging testing as appropriate.
