Shared Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to join the HSC Microbiology Technologists team at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. The MLA will be responsible for sample triaging, accessioning, and processing of specimens, as well as performing basic routine procedures and phlebotomies. The ideal candidate will have completed Grade 12 or equivalent, with a preference for completion of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program. Certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) is preferred.

Qualifications and Skills required for this position include proficiency in a Windows computer environment, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, medical terminology, sterile techniques, and routine practices. Additionally, the candidate should have strong keyboarding skills, the ability to apply basic math concepts, and effective oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in both French and English may be required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
