The Medical Lab Technologist I at LM Labs in Vancouver, BC performs technical work related to laboratory test procedures, evaluates results, and prepares reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain laboratory samples from patients as required.
Perform Laboratory procedures and analyze results according to established policies.
Prepare a variety of solutions, reagents, standards, and controls for analysis.
Respond to requests and inquiries for test results by various methods.
Perform routine instrument maintenance and identify malfunctions.
Assist in the evaluation of technical procedures and provide input in policy procedures.
Qualifications:
Certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
One (1) year of recent related experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the assigned section, laboratory procedures, and technical competence.
Basic awareness of the research process and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize workload, work independently, and collaborate with others.
