Humber River Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their team at the Wilson Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine and stat laboratory testing in core laboratory areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood bank. Duties may also include phlebotomy and central processing. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, current registration as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario, and 3-5 years of recent clinical laboratory experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work effectively with a team.

Position Responsibilities:

Routine & Stat Laboratory Testing in Core Laboratory- Chemistry, Hematology and Blood bank.

Duties may include phlebotomy, central processing and other related duties as assigned.

Can be assigned /trained in other Laboratory Disciplines

Qualifications:

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Current registration as General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)

3-5 years of recent Clinical Laboratory experience an asset

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work effectively alone or with all team members, including co-workers, physicians and other health care team members.

Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
