Description:

Humber River Health is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their team at the Wilson Site. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine and stat laboratory testing in core laboratory areas such as Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank. Duties may also include phlebotomy, central processing, and other related tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, current registration as a General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario, and 3-5 years of recent clinical laboratory experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Routine & Stat Laboratory Testing in Core Laboratory- Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood bank.
  • Duties may include phlebotomy, central processing, and other related duties as assigned.
  • Can be assigned/trained in other Laboratory Disciplines.
  • Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Current registration as General Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
  • 3-5 years of recent Clinical Laboratory experience an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively alone or with all team members, including co-workers, physicians, and other health care team members.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
  • An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
