We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy family practice clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a family or general practice setting and be comfortable managing both administrative and clinical responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and manage phone calls, voicemails, and patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Process and manage incoming referrals and faxes efficiently
Coordinate patient follow-ups and relay test results
Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR)
Greet and check in patients, verify demographic and insurance information
Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with routine in-office procedures
Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked
Process requisitions for imaging, labs, and other diagnostic services
Maintain patient privacy and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards
Support front desk operations, billing inquiries, and document scanning/faxing
Monitor and maintain office and medical supply inventory
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in a family practice or general medical clinic required
MOA certification is an asset
Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Experience with OSCAR EMR is required
Working knowledge of general medical terminology
