They are currently seeking a professional and compassionate Medical Office Assistant (MOA) / Medical Receptionist to support clinic operations and ensure a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and provide a welcoming front-desk experience
Schedule and manage patient appointments
Register patients accurately and update information
Verify health card information and eligibility
Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries
Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
Maintain patient records in the EMR
Process billing tasks
Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policies
Support clinic staff with administrative tasks
Maintain a professional reception area
Qualifications
Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent
Previous experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
Familiarity with OHIP billing and Ontario healthcare workflows
Proficiency in EMR systems and computer applications
Strong communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Ability to remain calm in a busy clinical environment
Preferred Assets
Experience in a multi-disciplinary clinic
Knowledge of referral management processes
Experience supporting healthcare providers
