As part of the General Radiology team, responsibilities include working all shifts and being on-call, with potential rotation through Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. The full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is negotiable.

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, you will conduct various standard technical radiological imaging examinations to aid in disease and pathology diagnosis. Duties include interpreting physician requisitions, preparing patients for exams, producing high-quality diagnostic images for review, and assisting with equipment care. Procedures may involve general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite exams, and fluoroscopy as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program

- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)

- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)

- Ability to work confidently, independently, and within collaborative partnerships/teams

- Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with various professionals

- Perception, initiative, accountability, good judgment, and concern for detail and accuracy

- Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians

- Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations

- Ability to effectively communicate in English

- Practices effective infection control and MRI safety techniques as applicable
