As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) I, responsibilities include performing standard radiological imaging examinations, interpreting physician requisitions, preparing patients for exams, producing diagnostic images, and assisting with equipment care. Tasks may involve general radiography, portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite exams, and fluoroscopy as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Completion of diploma from an accredited MRT program

Active or eligible for registration with ACMDTT

Current BCLS-HCP certification

Additional Qualifications:

Successful completion of MRT program

Member in good standing with ACMDTT

Ability to work independently and in teams

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Effective communication in English

Practices infection control and MRI safety techniques

BLS certification

Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Ability to effectively communicate in English required. Practices effective infection control and MRI safety techniques as applicable. BLS certification.
