The Medical Radiation Technologist I position at ACH operates in the specialized, highly technical environment of X-Ray. The MRT Technologist I assesses patients, analyzes and interprets diagnostic data, and provides information to the Radiologist to assist in diagnosis, clinical intervention, and patient management. The work may include general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, as well as fluoroscopy. Services are performed effectively, efficiently, and safely. This position is responsible for working days, evenings, nights, and on call as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis.
Interpret physician requisitions, prepare and assess patients for examination, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for Physician/Radiologist review.
Assist with the care and maintenance of equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program.
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).
