This job opportunity is based at Foothills Medical Centre in a fast-paced Diagnostic Imaging Department. The role involves providing high-quality service during radiological imaging examinations in an efficient and safe manner. The Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRTI) will work alternating shifts and be responsible for a variety of radiological imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing standard technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease diagnosis
Interpreting physician requisitions and preparing patients for examinations
Producing high-quality diagnostic images for review by Physicians/Radiologists
Assisting with equipment care and maintenance
Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
Additional Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program
Member in good standing and current registration/eligible for registration with ACMDTT
Ability to work confidently, independently, and within collaborative partnerships/teams
Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaise with various professionals
Demonstrated tact, courtesy, and effective communication in English
Practices effective infection control and MRI safety techniques as applicable
